Every student who completed her schooling at Shelford is automatically a Shelfordian.
Stay Connected to the Community
We warmly invite our past students to attend reunions and check out the latest Shelfordian news via this website and by connecting with us on social media. Keep your contact details up-to-date, and you will receive relevant communications via email. We are very proud of our Shelford Alumnae, and everyone loves to hear of special achievements and news.
Dear Shelford Alumnae,
As you know, in 2025 we had to start afresh — establishing a new Alumnae Committee and Constitution, signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Caulfield Grammar Association (CGA) and working through everything required for Incorporation and Affiliation. Along the way we developed our Strategic Plan, policies, finances, a new ticketing system, insurances —everything.
We established four Sub-Committees: Executive, Reunions, Member Database and Social Media.
However, I believed it was important to begin reunions straight away — to reconnect with our Alumnae. We wanted to remind you that we were here — enthusiastic, active and committed.
Our first function was held in February 2025, and over the year we hosted:
• 10 reunions (covering 15 Year 12 cohorts with some combined),
• a Staff Reunion and
• several events for the broader Alumnae community.
It was always encouraging to witness the excitement and joy at these reunions — renewing friendships and reconnecting with the School, to honour her strong educational foundation, her history and her legacy. To be inclusive and to foster a sense of pride and belonging.
Connectivity remains our aim and I believe we made a strong start.
Behind the scenes, this involved:
• 11 Reunion Sub-Committee meetings,
• 7 formal Executive meetings (plus many more during the early stages to finalise the Constitution, MOU and other foundations), and
• approximately 12 meetings with staff from Caulfield Grammar School and CGA.
I would like to sincerely thank both the School and CGA for their assistance, support and kindness throughout the year. It is very much appreciated.
Looking ahead to 2026, we already have 8 reunions booked and 3 all-Alumnae functions planned. We would like this year to be bigger and better — we have many ideas as we continue to bring our Vision to life. We also invite members with ideas for supporting connections between Alumnae to put these ideas forward to the Committee.
If you would like to become a Year Representative and act as a liaison between your year level and the Committee, we would greatly appreciate your involvement. This will also help us continue to strengthen and update our database. (And if you know someone who is not receiving our emails, please let us know.)
The Shelford campus is looking resplendent with freshly painted buildings and beautifully maintained gardens. The renovated classrooms in the Criswick Wing are bright, colourful and imaginative. The campus will be used for Prep and Grades 4–6 from 2027, along with the refurbished Learning and Innovation Centre. In the meantime, the School is already being used for classes and meetings.
Thank you.
Dr Karen Boyd-Jones
President
Shelford Girls’ Grammar Alumnae Association (Incorporated)
The Shelford Alumnae Association is excited to support and help organise a series of milestone reunions — including 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60-year gatherings. In addition to these key events, we’re also working to facilitate informal get-togethers and social events, with some planned for regional Victoria and interstate locations.
