From the CGS – Commerce Week 2026

The Commerce Faculty recently welcomed back four outstanding alumni for a Commerce Week panel breakfast with Senior School students exploring pathways in commerce, finance and law.
Each alumni spoke openly about navigating university applications, building networks and the formative role their school years played in shaping their work ethic. Their reflections on early‑career uncertainty, lateral moves and staying curious resonated strongly with students.
– Madison Chong (2019) – Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley, spoke about her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne and internships at River Capital and EY.
– Clare Emerson (2018) – Senior Associate at Boston Consulting Group, reflected on the value of her Commerce/IT double degree at Monash Uni.
– Vicky Paras (2017) – Mergers & Acquisitions lawyer at Allens, shared insights into her Commerce/Law pathway and the career shifts that shaped her direction.
– Ella Stonier‑Watson (2018) – Investment Banking Analyst at UBS and Cambridge‑trained commercial lawyer, drew on her experience leading operations at VP Capital.
The Commerce Faculty extends its warmest thanks to Madison, Clare, Vicky and Ella for their generosity, honesty and wisdom. For students, the morning was a powerful reminder of the doors a Caulfield Grammar education can open.
