Dear Queensland Shelford Alumnae
With it being more than 12 months on since we last got together, here issome of the news from Caulfield..
A new Shelford Grammarians Alumnae Association has been constitutedin its own right with an active executive. SGGAA has also become an associate of the Caulfield Grammarians Association.
The SGGAA has established reunions across the years with recent get-togethers being the 2022/3 Seniors, the 1961 Matrics, followed by the1971 girls who included their teachers, all lively and good fun events by all reports.
There are major plans for the Shelford campus of Caulfield Grammar School, so a bright future for the years ahead.
It’s time we met again, just over twelve since the last occasion.
With the new look, we are trialling an early luncheon time and different day of the week.
Annie Butterfield has again kindly booked us a table at the Emerald Lakes Golf Club, Carrara, for Monday 22nd September at 11.45am.
Saturdays and Sunday lunchtimes are always crowded at the venue, and the drive to and from Toowoomba to the Gold Coast has become ajourney close to three hours each way on weekends. In addition, one of our regular attending members has regular engagements on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. For all those reasons we have decided on a Monday lunch gathering.
Do contact me by phone 0421776693 or email me ann.dashwood@gmail.com whether or not you can come.
Remember partners are most welcome. Graham and Oliver would not mind at all sharing their extended talk time with other partners.
The SGGAA is keen to locate at least one edition the GOSSIP newsletter.Shame on our family as none of us can find any of the many editions ofthe Grammarians of Shelford Social Interest Paper that my mum Dawn Waxman wrote over the years.
The venue again is at Carrara, Emerald Lakes Golf Club, 3 Alabaster Dr, Carrara QLD 4211
My very best wishes to you and your families.
Ann
