Our Reverse Mentoring Program, inspired by articles from the Harvard Business Review and the Association of the Heads of Independent Schools Australia , aims to innovate the mentoring space. By flipping the traditional mentoring relationship, we hope to give young alumni the opportunity to share issues and perspectives affecting youth of today.
Young Alumni Ambassadors will mentor CGS Stakeholders on themes around: Embracing authenticity, adaptability & innovation, personal brand & digital networking, using new technology, resilience & risk taking. The emphasis will be on our more established Grammarians learning from young alumni and building mutually beneficial relationships by sharing different perspectives.
Purpose
Create young alumni engagement that lasts a lifetime
Provide young alumni with a platform to voice their views
Facilitate career and mentoring opportunities for our young alumni so they can expand their networks, connect with experienced Grammarians and build a sense of community
Offer mid & late-career Grammarians and key stakeholders the chance to give back and support young alumni
Provide an opportunity for established alumni to explore new ideas

Testimonials
"I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with my mentee and engaging in meaningful conversations about career and leadership. The dual nature of the mentoring, where insights and guidance flowed both ways, was particularly enriching."
" The networks I have built through this experience have been invaluable. Stepping out of my comfort zone to provide advice to someone older and more experienced has been incredibly rewarding and has greatly enhanced my confidence and skills."
"I initially found the concept of reverse mentoring quite challenging, but once I embraced it, the benefits became clear. It was a unique and valuable experience to receive advice from someone much younger, and it offered me fresh perspectives that I greatly appreciated."
