About Darcy Brown

 

Darcy Brown

Darcy graduated from Wheelers Hill Campus in 2008. During his time at CGS, he was involved in 8 theatre productions – Ross, Arms and the Man, The Visit, and The Importance of Being Earnest (all directed by Dan Hartley), and Marat/Sade, Lysistrata, Rhinoceros, and The Producers (all directed by Lyndy Clarke).

After a year at the University of Melbourne, he was accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, graduating with the Class of 2012.

His theatre credits include Calamity Jane (Queensland Theatre), Frankenstein, the national tour of Animal Farm, and The Twits (Shake & Stir), Ghost Stories (Realscape), The Mystery of the Valkyrie (Woodward Productions), Oil (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre), The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong (Australia and New Zealand tours, Mischief Theatre), the one-person play Peddling (MTC), Henry V (Bell Shakespeare national tour), The Merchant of Venice (Sport for Jove), and Fireface (Stories Like These/ATYP). His film credits include the upcoming Liam Neeson action film Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky.

On television, he has appeared in Deadloch (Amazon Prime), Why Are You Like This? (ABC/Netflix), Romper Stomper (Stan), and Glitch (Netflix). Darcy has received a Matilda Award, a Green Room Award, and the Mike Walsh Fellowship.
