CGA completed its 10th season in the APSOC Cross Country Series in 2025. Our Open team finished a very credible 6th in Division 1.
We had 32 registered runners, including 10 new participants.
We again hosted an event at the Wheelers Hill campus. The 8km course starting and finishing on the main oval and incorporating the hills, flats, paths and trails through Jells Park was a great success.
During the yea,r we saw several significant individual and team achievements.
Individual Highlights
Andrea Lung, winner of the 16Km Lodge Handicap and Westerfold’s Half Marathon, and fastest female Marathon time of 3:14:10 at the Melbourne Marathon.
Team Events
3rd Div 1 at the Hooley Relay (Braeside Park)
The relay team was Mark Frater, Michael Gasparroni, Joshua Schmidt, and Peter Byron.
We are looking forward to another full season in 2026. As alway,s we welcome anyone to join us.
Caulfield races against all the other APS schools in the APSOC Association, which has a rich 95-year history. There are 12 races over the course of the season from April to September, with the races held over various locations in the Melbourne metro area, some are hilly, others flat, some are dry paths, and others are muddy trails. Distances vary from a lap of The Tan to 10km events.
All standards are accommodated, with each race recognising the fastest runners, but also handicap results, giving everyone the chance of collecting a prize. Our Men’s and Women’s teams are in Division 1.
Everyone is welcome, come and join us running in “The Hoops”
