Caulfield Grammarians Rowing Club: Over 30 Years of Unity, Excellence, and Tradition

Founded with a vision to extend the joy of rowing beyond the school gates, for more than three decades, the Caulfield Grammarians Rowing Club continues to provide a vibrant hub for grammarians, families, and friends alike.

Established over 30 years ago, the Rowing Club was born from a desire to keep the rowing flame alive for Caulfield Grammar alumni. What began as a modest initiative continues as a welcome community where generations gather—whether to compete, coach, support, or simply enjoy the serenity of the water.

The club’s inclusive ethos welcomes not only former students but also their families and friends, creating a unique intergenerational network bonded by shared values and a love for the sport.

The Rowing Club offers a dual pathway: competitive rowing for those chasing excellence and social rowing for those seeking connection and recreation. Members train and race in regattas, proudly wearing the Caulfield colours and upholding the school’s tradition of sporting achievement. At the same time, social rowing sessions provide a relaxed environment for members to enjoy the rhythm of the river, build friendships, and stay active. Weekend rows often end with coffee and conversation, reinforcing the club’s role as a social anchor.

Whether slicing through misty morning waters or cheering from the riverbank, the Caulfield Grammarians Rowing Club continues to bring people together through the timeless power of rowing.
