The Role    

Join our esteemed educational institution as we seek a qualified classroom teacher to fill a specialist role in teaching Science (Years 8-11) and Chemistry (VCE) on a fixed term contract covering term 2 at our Wheelers Hill Campus.  

The ideal candidate will showcase a passion for science, a commitment to professional development and a strong desire to engage and motivate students while adeptly incorporating innovative learning technologies. The candidate will be enthusiastic, possess a forward-thinking mindset, and demonstrate aspirational teaching practices. They will join a small but dedicated Science team, working collaboratively to achieve learning area goals.  

Key Duties 

• Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn, including integrating formative practice and providing continuous feedback  
• Prepare instructional activities that facilitate engaging and appropriate learning opportunities for all  
• Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture  
• Contribute to our visible wellbeing program to enable students to thrive and belong  
• Provide reports within school standards and timelines 
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour
