Job Description
The Learning Strategies Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to support students in the classroom, and assist with planning, resourcing and implementing Individual Learning Plans for Mathematics. As a valued member of our team, you will be part of making a real difference by positively impacting student experience and contributing to our school community.
In this fixed term position (until Dec 2026), you will be working as part of a supportive and collegial team commencing as soon as possible. This is a part time position (0.6 FTE) based at our Caulfield Campus, providing key one-on-one, small group and classroom support for students in Years 7-10
Key Duties
- Structure teaching programs informed by research and collegial advice on student learning.
- Develop differentiated teaching activities that cater to diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities, adhering to relevant policies and legislation.
- Provide flexible support tailored to individual students, employing effective assessment methods to monitor and report on student progress.
- Administer and interpret 1-1 diagnostic assessments
- Collaborate actively with colleagues to develop and implement student-centered Individual Learning Plans.
- Utilise strategies based on students’ developmental characteristics to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation on student progress as required.
- Participate in professional development activities to continually improve teaching practices.
