Join our Music Tutor Team! We’re seeking passionate and skilled Guitar Tutors at Caulfield Grammar School. 

This is an exciting casual opportunity that offers flexibility and spans across our Wheelers Hill, Malvern and Caulfield Campuses. 

As a Guitar Tutor your lessons will be held during school days where you will be supporting students’ progress in lessons and for ensembles, preparing for performances and examinations, recruit and retain instrumental students, and build strong relationships with music students across all Caulfield Grammar School campuses. 

Key Duties 

• Delivering quality instrumental lessons to primary and secondary aged students 
• Working within a large String Team and the wider Music Department and School 
• Providing performance opportunities for the Guitar students 
• Attendance at Concerts, Soirées and sectionals when required 
• Act as an inspirational tutor, performer and mentor who models the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours 
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with students and staff 
• Collaborate with the Head of Strings to support development of the whole school music program.  
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours. 

Skills and Experience  

• Proven tutoring experience within a school music program 
• Ability to tutor and engage primary and secondary aged students 
• A strong knowledge of Guitar pedagogy is essential 
• Ability to prepare students for AMEB, Rockschool, ABRSM examinations or similar 
• Ability to be flexible and travel between Wheelers Hill, Malvern and Caulfield Campus 
• Hold or willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
