Job Description
The Associate Head of Teaching and Learning – Senior Pathways plays a pivotal role in supporting the Campus Head of Teaching and Learning to enhance the student learning experience across curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and teaching practices. This role focuses on coordinating high-quality senior learning programs and ensuring smooth student transitions while fostering academic excellence and a culture of curiosity. Collaborating across campuses, the position supports strategic leadership and contributes to whole-school priorities by driving initiatives that empower students and staff alike.
In this role, you will provide direction and guidance to Heads of Faculty, Heads of House, and key teams including the VASS Coordinator and Careers Team to uphold the ethos and objectives of the VCE program. You will ensure accurate management of all VCE student documentation and oversee critical assessments such as the GAT, VCAA examinations, Year 10 and 11 exams, as well as vocational programs like VET and VSL. This is a unique opportunity to lead senior pathways and transitions with influence and collaboration, helping students and families make informed decisions about their academic futures.
These are full-time, 3-year fixed term Positions of Responsibility commencing 1 January 2026 available at our Caulfield and Wheelers Hill Secondary campuses..

Key selection criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Education (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Minimum 5 years proven record as an outstanding teacher including in VCE.
- Alignment to Caulfield Grammar School values
- Knowledge of VCE and VCAA procedures and practices
- Proven organisational and administrative abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of VCE, VCAA, VET, VSL and associated protocols
- Ability to foster relationships with outside school bodies such as RTO, VSL, VSV, and VCAA
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teaching staff
- Builds capacity in others
- Possess well developed planning and organising skills.
