About our School:

Caulfield Grammar School is a leading, internationally recognised, independent, co-educational school committed to providing exceptional educational opportunities from Early Learning through to Year 12.

Caulfield Grammar School has traditionally offered highly sought after traineeship opportunities to Year 12 graduates to work in our Student Experience programs in Kakadu or Yarra Junction.

On Offer:

We are offering Traineeship positions across our Student Experience Residential Programs, including the Kakadu Program and Yarra Junction Campus. This opportunity will commence in January 2026 and will conclude at the end of 2026.

This opportunity is only available to current Year 12 students attending Caulfield Grammar School and is not available to the general public.

Responsibilities for each position are available in the attached Position Descriptions.

On Offer:

  • Successful completion of a Tertiary qualification specific to the Traineeship, Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (Kakadu Program & Yarra Junction)
  • Upskilling in addition to CGS Training
    • Kakadu Program: Youth Mental Health First Aid, Bronze Medallion (Pool Lifeguard), Wilderness First Aid, Kakadu Guiding course, Defensive Driving Course, regular Professional Development and more.
    • Yarra Junction: Challenge Ropes (high Ropes), Flat Water Canoe, Bush Walking, Mountain Bike, Wilderness First Aid and a Range of Internal Professional Development Sessions
  • Develop leadership skills in a dynamic working environment
  • Extensive work experience that can be used for future career development
  • Living and Working in a close-knit community
