Job Description

The Indigenous Liaison Officer (ILO) will provide advice and guidance to support the planning, development and implementation of policies, strategies and programs to attract and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to CGS. You will engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to promote CGS and its Vision, Mission and Values.    

This is a key role that liaises between students and teachers to provide CGS indigenous students with tailored social/emotional support to enable them to succeed in their academic programs and will advise CGS on matters of cultural protocol to ensure students are able to flourish. 

This is a part-time (11.5 hours over 3-4 days a week), 24-month fixed term opportunity based at our Caulfield Campus. 

Key Duties 

  • Work with families, staff, students and CGS executive and leadership teams to facilitate the best outcomes for all students, families and stakeholders    
  • Provide guidance to support the planning, development and implementation of policies, strategies and programs 
  • Maintain a strong cultural focus that extends to advice and action on broad issues, including the enrichment of cultural awareness within CGS 
  • Leverage relationships within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and CGS to support students 
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
