The Role
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from dedicated and experienced Teachers and Co-educators for potential future casual opportunities that may arise in our Early Learning Centres. The role would be located at either our Wheelers Hill Junior or Malvern Campus.
Successful applicants will be a valued member of our team, reporting to the Head of the Early Learning Centres and actively collaborating with fellow ELC teachers and co-educators. Together, the focus will be on creating and implementing a child-centric learning program in an environment that promotes students’ growth, development, and overall well-being, tailored to their unique requirements.
Overall Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of teaching activities and strategies based on knowledge of student’s physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
- Actively contribute ideas resulting in implementation of a stimulating educational program for students that reflect current research and best practice models in early childhood
- Contribute to the developmental records for each individual student, both written and verbal
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
TEACHER Specific Responsibilities:
- Work with the Early Learning Centre team in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre
- Work effectively with other members of the ELC to deliver a high quality early childhood program
CO- EDUCATOR Specific Responsibilities:
- Support the ELC teacher in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre
Role Requirements:
- Experience working with children with additional needs will be highly advantageous
- Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or the equivalent as approved by ACECQA (Teacher) and a Diploma of Early Childhood and Care (Co-Educator)
- Significant experience with three, four and five year olds is essential
- Current First Aid Certificate Level 2, Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Asthma training or willingness to obtain these
- Current Employment Working with Children Check or VIT Registration (Teacher)
