Campbell Lord

A dynamic professional in strategic communications and media, Campbell Lord has built a career defined by creativity, resilience, and a passion for connection. Currently working as a Manager at EY, he specialises in helping organisations foster meaningful relationships and amplify their impact.

His remarkable trajectory also includes serving as a Media Advisor and Digital Lead for the Federal Treasurer, a role in which he refined his skills in navigating complex issues and engaging with diverse audiences. Whether crafting narratives or building relationships, his work consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to impactful communication.

The foundations of these achievements were laid during his formative years at Caulfield Grammar School, where he was a student from Year 7 to Year 12. A member of a family with ties to Caulfield spanning multiple generations, attending the school felt like a natural path.

Reflecting on those years, he recalls them as the most incredible seven years of his life. The school’s vibrant community, friendships, and an abundance of opportunities shaped his early ambitions and gave him the platform to thrive in various disciplines.

Sport proved to be a defining feature of his Caulfield experience. Participating in cricket, athletics, hockey, and even debating taught lessons in teamwork and adaptability. The camaraderie and purpose he found on the field and in competitions are qualities he brings to his professional life today.

Caulfield Grammar School also fostered his creative instincts. A passion for filmmaking and storytelling emerged in Year 11 when he created the first 18 football team video, gaining attention not only within the school but across the state. Recognising this talent, the school made accommodations that allowed him to pursue studio art as a Year 11 student, even though it was rare for folio subjects to be taken early. These gestures reinforced his sense of belonging and fuelled his ambition to carve a path in media.

After graduating, he pursued a Bachelor of Communications in Media at RMIT University, combining his love of storytelling with strategic thinking. Alongside his studies, he established Lord Media Group, a business dedicated to film and media production. Entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity propelled his success, bringing bold visions to life while honing skills that would later prove invaluable in navigating the dynamic worlds of politics and consulting.

A significant chapter of his career unfolded during his time in the political realm. He worked as a Media Advisor and Digital Lead during one of the most challenging periods in recent history, playing a role in communicating key initiatives like JobKeeper during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though the unpredictable nature of politics meant saying goodbye to that role, the lessons learned stayed with him as he transitioned to new opportunities.

From his early days creating sports videos to guiding organisations on strategic communication, his story exemplifies the power of resilience and creativity. Supported by the values instilled during his time at Caulfield Grammar School, he continues to inspire through his leadership and innovative approach to building connections in every role he takes on.
