Every student who completed her schooling at Shelford is automatically a Shelfordian.

2025 Event

17 lovely ladies enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Brighton Hotel on 14th March.
Girls chatted cheerfully and moved seats to be able to talk to everyone. There was happy noise. It was hilarious.
Two women, Elizabeth Landry and Jeanette Anderson/Bourne (first photo) had not seen each other since School and they realised they both live in Queensland. Then another Girl was from Queensland too so that all three of them plan to catch up there in the future and also with our Queensland Branch. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and extended afternoon.”
They plan to have another reunion in August.
Kay did a lot of chasing up Girls and said it was very rewarding organising it.
It wasn’t a formal reunion, but a get-together for those in the 1964 cohort who were available! (i.e., not busy with golf, or interstate, or too far away with petrol issues or unwell). We met at the Malvernvale Hotel on Monday, 30 March.
Liz Ruth (Coghill), Alison McMillan (Lawes) (who made the journey from Castlemaine!), Ann Dashwood (Waxman), Pam Dalrymple (Criswick), Sandra George (Porter), and Elizabeth Dent (Fowler).
We’ll have a date later this year for the 2027 get-together, as most of us are hitting the big ’80’ next year!
The 1976 Shelford Reunion was a great night, full of laughs and reminiscing.
We even sang the School song!
We all had a chance to briefly say where our lives had landed and give an update on the past 50 years.
We remembered those who were no longer with us, told stories and had lots of laughs about the fun we’d all had in our school days… The night went too quickly.
The Quaerite’s were out, and thanks to the Shelford Alumnae Archives for providing some other class photos.
Thanks to Jenny Hayes (Newton) who opened her home and catered for the evening (Mrs Rama would have been proud!)
Regards,
Liz Graf (Coningsby) and Claire Watson ( Stuckey ) “the researchers and spreadsheet gurus”

On Tuesday, 24 February, many Shelfordians joined with CGA to attend the bi-annual Golden Alumni Society Luncheon at Quat Quatta. FYI – All Shelfordians from the cohorts of 1976 and older are automatically invited (ie those who are at least 50-year veterans).

It was a great event and so nice to catch up with some Caulfield Grammarians that we all knew ‘back in the day’!
