We’re looking for an extraordinary and dynamic OSHC Co-ordinator to join our team.
Be part of an exciting newly established standalone OSHC startup where your ideas matter and you will have input into shaping the vision of our future. Working closely with the OSHC Manager, you can create something extraordinary from the ground up leaning on your knowledge and experiences. Our OSHC program is a valued and important part of Caulfield Grammar School.
The OSHC Co-ordinator working 1pm – 6pm, Monday – Friday (as well as full time vacation care), providing a service that fosters a wide range of indoor and outdoor recreational activities according with our school policies and procedures. This is an ongoing part time position.
Key Duties
- Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a stimulating and diverse program relevant to the developmental needs of children attending the service, including those with additional needs.
- Assist in organising and maintaining program resources and ensuring the program venue is maintained to a high standard.
- Establish guidelines that encourage positive behavior and facilitate effective interaction between groups and individuals utilising the service.
- Administer procedures that ensure the health and safety of all children.
- Report and document observations of individuals or groups of children and the activities they are participating in for planning purposes.
- Build meaningful relationships and rapport with parents and staff
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with pre-school to school-aged children in delivering children’s indoor and outdoor activities in an OSHC and vacation care program environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and optimistic approach.
- Any exposure or certifications related to Food Safety Handling would be a great advantage.
- Must hold and maintain a current First Aid Certificate Level 2, Anaphylaxis training, Asthma training or be willing to obtain these.
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education, Diploma Out of School Age Education and Care or qualification recognised by ACECQA
- Hold or willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
