Are you passionate about food, education, and creating a dynamic learning environment? An exciting opportunity waits for a Casual Café Assistant to be part of our student-led café at the Caulfield Campus — during school terms only. 

This unique role blends hospitality with hands-on learning, supporting students as they gain real-world experience in our Café Program. As a Café Assistant, you’ll play a key role in managing food orders and stock control, receiving deliveries and maintaining kitchen safety and cleanliness. 

You’ll be rostered across four weekdays (Monday to Friday), with flexibility based on the Café Program schedule.

Key Duties  

• Supporting students with curriculum-based Learning Outcomes for the Cafe Program 
• Collaborating with the Café Manager to guide and evaluate student performance 
• Prepare food trays/trolleys for practical classes as needed  
• Collaborate with Café Manager for food orders and procure additional goods as necessary  
• Ensure proper storage of fruit, vegetables, and cold items  
• Participate in stock-takes and attend meetings  
• Offer general support during special events, such as School Open Days 
• Purchase of goods not included in bulk orders as required 
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
