On Friday 7 August the Caulfield Grammarians’ Association held the Class 1990 30-Year Virtual Reunion via Zoom. Thirty past students joined us including participants from as far afield as Canberra, the UK and Russia. Class of 1990 graduates, the Director of Community Engagement, Sue Sonego, and Past CGA Treasurer, Theo Vosnidis, also joined us to celebrate their reunion.
After a brief welcome to the whole group from CGA Executive Director Linda Sprott, the Class of 1990 were placed in break-out rooms based on their campus at school. Over the next hour or so there was an opportunity for everyone attending to tell their own story about post-school life and to reminisce about school days. Some participants were able to renew acquaintances for the first time since leaving school.
It was lovely meeting some of the attendees partners, families and pets who were in the background of their video call. Those who participated greatly enjoyed the opportunity to connect, although all in attendance hoped that there would be an opportunity for a face-to-face get-together in 2021.
Make sure you regularly check our events page for the latest updates about a potential reunion next year. There has been lots of information and pictures shared on the Class of 1990 Facebook Group so we encourage you to join in order to stay in touch with your peers.
